LOVE

For Paul Klee

Forever,
So much forever is
Forgotten and cursed for all time
And so for all time obsessed
With defending the weakened
Are those who love, those fully resigned to love
Who live only for the sake of love.
Forever we must sing,
As so much forever is in need of not yet written poems;
Arguing heaven and earth will be reconciled
As our time-stopped relationship with her returns us to one –
At one during the silent emotional vigil
Raise up the magical tower towards her,
Through the sky’s dream of naive birds,
And the fairy tales of children, and speak to them of her,
And provide them with her angel’s nectar, as diligently made as that of bees,
And return to the world her who has had no name
For all of time,
And then all that has been written will become present again.
She and I are at one like we become one as we dream;
She and I are at one and everything that happens is as it has to be
Where divine-like blueprints are moments of love again;
All that lives forever is in one name and remains enfolded in her – love.
Everything becomes at one on account of her love.
Our Initial movement towards her are so difficult and cannot be avoided but
Everything becomes at one in her name, allowing her love to survive;
Trees become their woodman and
Maidens become their blood and
Windows become windows
And poesy becomes another poem.
Argue together, so as not to forget
And stay alive so as to avoid the unneeded ones,
So that poetry can thrive.
In the end many will hold on tightly to her words of love as they conjure her image and are captivated
And then, in their world, they will mimic her and love others.
Tender insight, here between us – face to face, forever conjures her image, captured in her words of love.

Paul Klee
