THE THIRST FOR INDEPENDENCE

What can sharpen this thirst for our freedom?
What can help shake our love to be beaten?
When will mother earth break our shackles free?
When, in her love, will we and things be?
Wasn’t there once another spirit in me?
Raised by your Greatness to become free!
With learning from Greatness and love from her
Is it time that we stand tall and in freedom stir?

Are famine and disease an illusion of your truth?
Will food fill our bellies and wisdom show the proof?
Or will love of your love help free us in our home?
Or will you abandon us, Oh Mother, as we roam?
Angel of duty in your Greatness we can truly be?
Greatness shaped us but your love we must free!
In your eternal freedom you have shown us the way!
We must now renew ourselves and chase fear away!
