LET ME OUT

Let me out, let me go, let me free:
Let the fresh breeze sing of the smoke,
………that chokes the city I live in.
Let the smell of smiles touch the lips
………that release the words I live in.
Let me hear the silent noise of those
………that bash and make where I live.

Let me out, let me go, let me free:
Let me just once be where it rains love,
………that holds and sustains us all;
Let those moments of sun shine a joy
………that reaches deep into us all.
Let me breath in her eternal flame
………that I may speak for all of us.
