Without the pleasure there is no pain,
Endurance of the agony enhances the ecstasy:
Saying Yes to the challenge brings ‘it’ on,
Which is living a full and interesting life.
Without pleasure and pain is to not live,
It is endurance of a different dulling kind:
Saying No to the challenge brings ‘it’ on,
Which is missing the opportunity to become.
With a fullness in life there is a becoming,
Enhanced trusting in the joyfulness of others:
In saying Yes to others we will often win,
Yet frailties in the human condition prevail.
With a fullness and becoming we unveil,
Revealing the perfections of our humanity:
In saying No to the inner voices of doubt
Uncertainty from frailties are controlled.
