TRUTH IS YOURS TO JUDGE

Inside us lies a truth that is hard to own.
Thrusted upon us in the myriad moments
It never gives up a clear view
It never enables a cherished calm
It never eases the muddled mind.

Befuddled by a truth laboured by words
And hidden in the escaping moments
The danger always lurks
The charlatans always emerge
The pace of life allows escape.

To capture the cherished extremes
Of the ever changing narrative space
That is this poets pain
That is this writers gift
That truth is yours to judge.
